What is Slonge Billing?
Slonge Billing is a cloud-based invoicing and accounting software for Swiss SMEs. It offers client management, project time tracking, invoicing with Swiss QR-Bill, expense management with AI receipt capture, and double-entry bookkeeping according to SME standards.

Which languages are supported?
The user interface is in German. Documentation is available in German and English.
Where is my data stored?
Your data is stored on servers in Switzerland. We comply with the requirements of the Swiss Data Protection Act (DSG).
Account & Login
How do I create an account?
Visit slonge-billing.ch and click "Try for free". You get a 30-day trial with full functionality.
I forgot my password. What do I do?
- Go to the login page
- Click on "Forgot password?"
- Enter your email address
- Follow the link in the email
What is Two-Factor Authentication (MFA)?
MFA is an additional security layer. After the password, you must enter a code from your authenticator app. Recommended apps: Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password.
Can I manage multiple companies?
Yes, as a user you can be a member of multiple organizations (tenants). Switch via the dropdown in the navigation.
Invoicing
What is a QR invoice?
The QR invoice is the Swiss standard for invoices since 2020. It contains a QR code that customers can scan with their banking app. All payment information is in the code.
Do I need a QR-IBAN?
- QR-IBAN: Required for QR reference (QRR)
- Standard IBAN: Sufficient for SCOR reference or no reference
Ask your bank for the QR-IBAN.
Can I create invoices in Euro?
Yes, you can set the currency per project. Supported are CHF, EUR, USD, and GBP.
How do I send invoices automatically?
- Create the invoice as a draft
- Click on "Schedule"
- Select the send date
- The invoice is automatically sent by email
Accounting
What is the Swiss SME chart of accounts?
The SME chart of accounts is a standardized account system for Swiss companies:
- 1xxx: Assets
- 2xxx: Liabilities (debt, equity)
- 3xxx-5xxx: Revenue
- 6xxx-8xxx: Expenses
What is double-entry bookkeeping?
In double-entry bookkeeping, every business transaction is recorded in at least two accounts: debit and credit. The totals must always be equal.
Which VAT rates apply in Switzerland?

Can I export my accounting to my accountant?
Yes, under Accounting > Export you can export data in Abacus or ASR format.
AI Features
What can AI receipt capture do?
The AI automatically recognizes:
- Amount
- Date
- Vendor/seller
- VAT amount (if recognizable)
You photograph the receipt, and the AI pre-fills the form.
How does the AI booking assistant work?
The assistant analyzes expenses and suggests matching bookings:
- Which expense account?
- Which offset account?
- VAT treatment
You review and confirm the suggestions.
How many AI requests do I have?

Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, monthly cancellation is possible anytime. Access remains until end of paid period.
What happens after the trial?
You choose a plan or your access is paused. Your data is stored for 90 days.

Is there a mobile app?
The web app is optimized for mobile devices. A native app is planned.
Can I work offline?
No, Slonge Billing requires an internet connection.
How do I back up my data?
Under Settings > Backup you can create a complete data export (JSON format).
