Record your work time per project and story.
Overview
Time tracking in Slonge Billing enables:
- Hour recording per story
- Flexible hourly rates
- Billing status tracking
- Filtering by period and status

Creating a Time Entry
Step by Step
- Open a project
- Select a story
- Click on Record Time
- Fill in:

| Hourly Rate | Default from project, adjustable | ✅ |
- Click Save
Hourly Rate
The hourly rate is taken by default from the project. You can adjust it per entry, e.g., for:
- Overtime
- Special work
- Reduced rates
Billing Status
Each time entry has a billing status:

|---|---|
| unbilled | Not yet invoiced |
| billed | Invoiced |
| paid | Invoice paid |
The status is automatically updated when an invoice is created.
Viewing Time Entries
In the Project
- Open the project
- See all time entries in the Time Entries tab
Across All Projects
As accountant or administrator:
- Go to a project
- Use filters:
- By date (from/to)
- By billing status
- By employee
Editing Time Entries
- Click on the time entry
- Change the desired fields
- Save
Note: Already billed time entries should not be changed.
Deleting Time Entries
- Open the time entry
- Click on Delete
- Confirm
⚠️ Billed time entries cannot be deleted.
Calculations
Hour Total
Total hours are automatically calculated:
- Per story
- Per project
- Per period (when filtering)
Revenue
Revenue is calculated as:
Revenue = Hours × Hourly Rate
Best Practices
- Record daily: Enter time at the end of each work day
- Meaningful notes: Describe what you did
- Correct story: Assign time to the right task
- Review before billing: Check entries before creating invoices

How do I see my weekly summary?

What does "hours (decimal)" mean?
Hours are recorded in decimals:
- 1.5 = 1 hour 30 minutes
- 2.25 = 2 hours 15 minutes
- 0.5 = 30 minutes
Can I record time with a timer?
Currently not. Enter hours manually.
